Engagement Session – Saba & Travis

I had the pleasure of working with Saba and Travis throughout their entire planning process, so we got to be friends along the way.  Travis proposed to Saba at Henri’s Bakery in Buckhead, and had a cake decorated with “Marry Me Saba” in the case ~ how sweet is that?  One evening in May, we all went to Piedmont Park, with photographer Michael Ray White for their engagement session. It’s a popular spot for engagement photo sessions because there are so many beautiful settings within the park.  Here are some of my favorite shots of the happy couple!

Real Wedding ~ Stream & Thomas

Stream and Thomas were married on June 5, 2010 at the Evergreen Marriott Resort at Stone Mountain.  Mother Nature cooperated, as both the ceremony (lakeside pavilion) and reception (resort deck) were outdoors, to fulfill Stream’s dream of an English garden themed wedding.  Being Scottish, Stream wanted to incorporate bagpipes and drummers, as well a tartan and sword ceremony ~ all of these details made it a nuptial event to remember!  Revered Jim Crews donned his kilt to officiate their ceremony.   Floral designer Chuck Milne created a beautiful altar with columns adorned with magnificent arrangements, and his work didn’t end there – what he and his team created for the reception was just exactly what the bride wanted.   Frosted Pumpkin Gourmet designed their sweet wedding cake – I just love it!   As the guests enjoyed the buffet, DJ Jeremy from Absolute Entertainment played all their favorites.  Enjoy these images by Felicia Atwell of Atwell Photography!  Thank you Stream and Thomas for allowing us to be a part of your special day!

Teni & David ~ good words

We were so honored to work with Teni (and David – though we didn’t meet him until the rehearsal!) during their entire planning process ~ and cannot wait to post their wedding images from Project Duo!    Here is a teaser – click here to see the slideshow of their engagement shoot.

Teni says: I was completely 100% happy with our wedding day and you were amazing.  It was fun and relaxing working with you, and I had a great wedding experience.  I have family members who still comment about how great my planner was.  I wish you the best of luck, not that you need it, because you are very good at what you do.  Thank you again from David and me.

Real Wedding ~ Tuneka & Brian

Tuneka and Brian’s wedding ceremony on April 24, 2010 at Peachtree Christian Church was filled with love and emotion.  You can see in their eyes how much they love each other, thanks to Courtney and Zahra from Project Duo Photography. Despite the rain, their celebration continued with a plated dinner reception at the Mansion on Peachtree in the Rosewood Ballroom. Light it Up produced all the floral decor in addition to the lighting package, which added so much to their intimate event.  The highlight of the night was the gospel performance by CKW Mime (search for them on You Tube) – all I can say is wow!

Engagement photos – Caylee & Steve

Caylee and Steve are getting married in April 2011, and recently shot their engagement session with Moreland Photography. Check out Mike Moreland’s blog by clicking here and scroll to “Caylee and Steve’s Engagement” – they are adorable!  We are so excited to work with these UGA grads on their colorful and fun wedding!  Their ceremony will be held at our favorite church, Peachtree Christian, with reception following at the Georgia Freight Depot.

Real Wedding – Iva & Arun

Iva and Arun were married on May 30, 2010 at the Fernbank Museum of Natural History.  The bride and groom moved to NYC after graduating from law school at Emory University.  Two families from very different cultures came together to celebrate their joyous union.   Arun was so sharp in his Marine dress uniform, and Iva was a gorgeous bride, with hair and makeup by Scoobie West.  Heather at Stems did a beautiful job incorporating their orange and pink colors into the florals, Iva was ecstatic when she saw the bouquets and centerpieces.  Magnum Companies produced all of the lighting elements – which adds so much to any event.  As always, Bold American Catering‘s food was outstanding, and Celso’s Cakes created a flawless wedding cake.   Enjoy these images from Mike Moon Studio – we really enjoyed working with them for the first time, and hope to again soon!

Real Wedding – Laura & Kris

Their rings with antique books in the bride's room at the church

Laura and Kris were married on May 1, 2010 at Inman Park United Methodist Church, which is a beautiful old church dedicated in 1898.  I was immediately impressed with their church coordinator, Patches, who makes everyone feel at home.  Laura is a big history buff, so it was only fitting that they got married in such an historic church, and hosted their reception at the Wimbish House/Atlanta Women’s Club.  Laura looked like a princess, and Kris was a sharp-dressed man in his pin-striped suit and black and white spectators.  It was my first time working with Jessica Ashley of Peachtree Photography, and it was a great experience. I’ve already recommended her to Rachel & John (April 30, 2011) and they loved her, too!  Tod Peavy of Peavy Entertainment kept the party going, and Mike Henry of Wedding Storytellers captured the entire day with video.  Click here to see the highlight video on Mike’s blog.  Laura and Kris’ families were such fun to work with and be around, I truly believe we’ll keep in touch!

Real Wedding – Melinda and Ben

Melinda and Ben were married at Peachtree Christian Church on May 16, 2010 … Melinda was an absolutely breathtaking bride. She loves pink – as shown by the groomsmen’s ties, bridesmaid’s dresses, and the big pink bow on their wedding cake by Sweet n’ Sinful. Ben’s family owns the Hsu’s family of restaurants, so it was only fitting that they catered the reception, which was held in the Grand Ballroom of the Georgian Terrace Hotel. Monique of Blossoms Atlanta created beautiful bouquets and centerpieces for their numerous guest tables.  The mother of the bride wrote me a sweet note, “Thank you for all your help and support in making sure everything ran smoothly for Melinda & Ben’s special day. I appreciate your organization and promptness to answer my questions throughout the process. You definitely took the stress out for me so I could enjoy the day.” It was my first time working with Esther and Jacob of Esther JuLee Photography, and it was such a treat.  They are a wonderfully talented couple, and I’m honored that they’ve asked me to coordinate their own wedding this August!
