Good Words ~ Ashley & Jon
Wedding season has put me waaaaay behind on blogging – I am really going to try to get some photos of our 2010-11 weddings up soon! In the meantime, here is a note I received from one of our July brides, and it just made my day!
Working with you was an absolute joy-especially when I decided to pick up and move to another state shortly after we got started!!
Me being hundreds of miles away did nothing to deter you from helping me coordinate the wedding of my dreams! You obviously have a gift, and I’m overjoyed at how beautiful my wedding day turned out, everything was gorgeous, and all of your vendor suggestions worked out great! From the invites, to the flowers, to the cakes, to the (last-minute) DJ-everything was amazing! I have (and continue) to receive so may compliments about how beautiful everything was! Jon and I had an amazing time and that was in large part to you! Jon & Ashley Moore
I’m looking forward to sharing images from their wedding shot by the fabulous Livingston Jackson of Jaxon Photography
Real Wedding ~ Teni & David
I have a special place in my heart for Teni and David – as they were married at the Atlanta Botanical Garden, where I exchanged my own vows. Their ceremony took place on the Great Lawn on a very warm June 27. Many of their guests traveled from across the globe to witness these Duke University grads exchange their nuptials. Courtney and Zahra from Project Duo Photography captured their wedding day beautifully. Teni and David are absolutely gorgeous, and their love for each other is evident. Dennis Dean Catering knocked the reception out of the park with their stellar food and service. Linens were courtesy of Connie Duglin Linens and Party Tables. Once again, Carla of On Occasions of Atlanta worked her magic with the floral designs. Our favorite lighting company, Active Production & Design provided the uplighting in Day Hall. The magnificent wedding cake was created by Chocolate Pink, and was just exactly what Teni wanted. Arthur Vaughn from A&R Sounds kept the dance floor full all night. Our friends at Cooper-Atlanta Transportation provided all the transportation for the wedding party and guests. And last but not least – Majestic Photobooth was a big hit with the guests, and the on-site creation of their guest book will be treasured by the couple forever.
Real Wedding Video – Colleen & Travis
Colleen and Travis are probably the most laid-back couple I’ve worked with. They made my job easy by trusting me to do mine. Their downtown wedding at Ventanas on November 20 was quite an intimate affair with fewer than 60 guests. I wanted to share their highlight video, click HERE - shot by the talented Mike Henry of Wedding Storytellers. Here is one of their engagement photos shot by the fabulous Drew Newman. More to come once their images are ready. Enjoy!
Real Wedding ~ Saba & Travis
I’m way behind on my blog! We’ve got many weddings to share – so we’ll start with Saba and Travis who were married on June 20 at one of my favorite venues – Fernbank. We grew very close during the planning process – and looking at these images again reminded me of how honored I was to play such a big part in their wedding. Thanks to Michael Ray White Photography, Carla Duncan of On Occasions of Atlanta for the beautiful florals, Absolute Entertainment who provided the harpist and violinist for the ceremony, DJ Jeremy and the fab dueling piano players – what fun they were! Carole Parks Catering worked with Rumi’s Kitchen to offer Persian cuisine. And for an extra special treat, a gelato cart from Dreamy Gelato and Chocolates! Steve Schumacher of Creative Video Moments captured the evening in video – click HERE to view the highlights. I’ve decided to post larger size images than my earlier posts – we all like to look at beautiful photographs!

Good Words ~ Diane & Chris
Hand-written notes make me feel so good! Diane and Chris were married two weeks ago at the Georgia Aquarium ~ check back soon for images from Melissa Prosser Photography. Here’s what they had to say about working with Peachtree Weddings:
“Thank you SO much for all your help, support, and PATIENCE! Chris and I, with our parents, thank you for all your organization and assistance with “rolling with the punches.” We had a wonderful wedding day, and a blast at the reception – THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!”
It was our pleasure!
Good words from Laura & Chad ~ and her parents
Laura and Chad were married on a beautiful fall day last weekend at Peachtree Presbyterian Church in Buckhead, their reception followed at Greystone at Piedmont Park. I cannot wait to share their details and images from Marcus Krause Photography!
It’s always wonderful to receive hand-written notes from my clients – something that is rare in these days of electronic communication. Here’s what Laura had to say about her experience with Peachtree Weddings:
“Thank you so much for all your help over the past 9 months. Before we began working with you, I was incredibly overwhelmed and had no idea where to start. I liked you immediately. You have such a warm, outgoing way about you. I felt a huge sense of relief immediately after leaving our meeting. You’re fabulous, I can’t say it enough or loud enough. Thank you, thank you, thank you!”
And from her parents:
“We had an amazing weekend, in large part to your help and organization. Laura was so thrilled to have found you many months ago, and her enthusiasm was well placed. I looked at your business card this morning, and nodded to myself when I saw “Perfect Poise. Absolute Trust. Pure Calm.” That is a perfect description, and we can’t thank you enough, especially for the calm part! All of us were in need of of some of that at some point both Friday and Saturday and you provided it! You are clearly suited to your job! Thank you so much!”
Thank you, Laura and Chad, and your families. It was an honor to work for you.
Engagement Photos – Emily & Chase
I am so excited for Emily & Chase’s December wedding at King Plow – Emily wants a rustic and romantic feel for her wedding day, and that’s what she will have! They were sweet enough to share their engagement session slideshow with me, and I wanted to share with you – click HERE to view. The super-talented Nadia D shot their engagement photos, and will be documenting their wedding as well – really looking forward to working with her!
Engagement Photos – Saba & Travis
Saba and Travis were such fun to work with, we spent a lot of time together planning their June wedding at Fernbank (blog post coming soon!). Along with photographer Michael Ray White, we had a blast shooting their engagement session at Piedmont Park. Saba had several dress changes, so I assisted in carrying her bag, as well as providing cover while she changed. Always a good idea to pack at least a queen size bed sheet (in a dark color) for a portable changing area! After a few hours of shooting, we all went to Zocalo for some much needed food & margaritas. Here are some of my favorite images from the shoot.

As seen on “Get Married”
Peachtree Weddings & Events is thrilled to announce that we won the dessert bar challenge on the national TV series “Get Married” (shown on We TV, Saturdays at 930am ET). We are so proud to share the complete episode with all of you – click HERE to watch it! Special thanks to Chocolate Pink Pastry Cafe for supplying all of the chocolate treats, and to I Do Linens for the custom linen.
Real Wedding ~ Stream & Thomas
Stream and Thomas were married on June 5, 2010 at the Evergreen Marriott Resort at Stone Mountain. Mother Nature cooperated, as both the ceremony (lakeside pavilion) and reception (resort deck) were outdoors, to fulfill Stream’s dream of an English garden themed wedding. Being Scottish, Stream wanted to incorporate bagpipes and drummers, as well a tartan and sword ceremony ~ all of these details made it a nuptial event to remember! Revered Jim Crews donned his kilt to officiate their ceremony. Floral designer Chuck Milne created a beautiful altar with columns adorned with magnificent arrangements, and his work didn’t end there – what he and his team created for the reception was just exactly what the bride wanted. Frosted Pumpkin Gourmet designed their sweet wedding cake – I just love it! As the guests enjoyed the buffet, DJ Jeremy from Absolute Entertainment played all their favorites. Enjoy these images by Felicia Atwell of Atwell Photography! Thank you Stream and Thomas for allowing us to be a part of your special day!
